Overview
The FORGE Q4 2023 release completes the journey of strengthening and modernizing Deltatre's headless Content Management System (CMS).
- Content Manager new features
- Page Builder new features
On the technical side, front-end developers gain a new Front-end API endpoint to build the sitemap.
Let's get into some details:
What's new
Content Manager
Full control of the content position within editorial selections
Editors get multiple enhancements to their control of editorial selections:
- Pin items to retain their position, regardless of automatic filling or edits.
- Replace single autofilled items with a specific entity.

New rule to autofill editorial selections by context
Introducing the ability to autofill editorial selections by context, building on previous autofill options: entity types and tags.
Why do we now support autofilling by context?
Use tags to tell the front-end what content to display, and use the new context functionality to determine where entities feature on the page, for example, the latest news (context) on Ronaldo (tag).

Page Builder
Multi-tenant menu builder
Administrators can now grant producers access to specific menu items.
Why have we developed this?
Many clubs use the same Page Builder instance, therefore, restricting producer visibility via permissions, displays only the relevant menus.
Search pages by alias
Producers can now easily find pages by their alias – SEO-oriented versions of the page URL – aiding navigation and improving the UX.
Use menu paths as parameters within modules, layouts, and templates
Producers can easily add menus as parameters within modules, layouts, and templates to assign menus to specific sections of the page structure. For example, assigning a main menu to a template makes it easy to reuse it in many pages and ensures consistency.
Front-end API
New /sitemap endpoint
This release delivers a new front-end /sitemap endpoint to retrieve all published pages with their aliases and translations.
With the new /sitemap endpoint, front-end developers can instruct search engines to explore and understand the front-end site structure.

What's changed
Content Manager
Refreshed editorial selections UX
This release delivers a modern and intuitive UI to manage editorial selections, helping to improve how editors promote content when:
- Manually selecting content
- Setting rules to select content automatically
- Translating and localizing content
- Managing editorial selection visibility permissions
For more information, read our articles on content promotion and editorial selections (including localizations).
Smaller, yet still important changes
Content Manager
Photo grid view neutral language filter
In the photo grid view, the neutral language filter is applied by default. This keeps the UX clean, avoiding listing the same photo with each language translation.
What's neutral language? Neutral language flags entities that collect many translations.
Tag tooltips within advanced search
We've added a tooltip that displays over any tags with long names on list pages within the advanced search panel. This helps to view the whole tag when they're especially long!
Page Builder
Identify page layouts
The page label or ID now displays when adding a layout in a page definition. This helps to identify each layout among the other layouts and modules.
Authorization Group descriptions
Within the Authorization Groups page, find helpful group descriptions.
