Where to create blog posts
Before you start creating a blog post, it's important to know FORGE LIVE BLOGGING is split into three different columns:
- Published posts — A list of all your published posts displays here. This list is what your fans see when following your live blog.
- Post creation area — The area where you create blog posts, add text and multimedia, and publish content.
-
Content – Your library of multimedia content (videos, images, and audio) and sports data (statistics from your website) to add to your blog posts.
FORGE LIVE BLOGGING offers the ability to integrate FORGE Back Office. Administrators can deploy the connector that pushes content from FORGE Back Office to FORGE LIVE BLOGGING. Editors select the FORGE Back Office content from the Content column (see the red-highlighted FORGE section in the example above).
Add text to blog posts
In the blog post creation area, insert text. When you're happy with your changes, select PUBLISH to publish the blog post.
Editors can make the following changes to text in this area:
- Undo/redo
- Change font settings (lower case, upper case, or title case)
- Bold and italicize text
- Strike through text
- Change capitalization
- Insert quotes
- Add links
- Add emojis
- Create ordered/unordered lists
- Format painter
- Superscript
- Subscript
- Add special characters
- Spellcheck
- Clear formatting
Add media to blog posts
Select media from the Media tab and drag and drop them into the post-creation area.
Editors can quickly add new media (image, video, or audio) to the Media tab by selecting + Add new. Editors either have the option of editing (imagery) or previewing (video and audio) the uploaded media, and can add a caption and copyright.
Add FORGE entities to blog posts
Consider publishing or embedding a FORGE-imported entity into a blog post. If a navigation rule links a detail page to that entity, the link to the FORGE entity's detail page displays.
