Comparing story versions
FORGE stores a version of the story for each change and allows editors to compare the many versions in three steps:
- Open the required story.
- Select the History button to display the story activity.
- Hover over a change made by an editor and select COMPARE to display the comparison window:
When comparing a reviewed version of the story with its last published version, on the top-right of the comparison window, the RESTORE THIS VERSION button displays.
Restoring a previously published story version
When reviewing a story, if editors need to discard changes, they can restore the latest published version.
To do this, editors must:
- In the History box, hover over the the last published version and select COMPARE. The comparison window displays with the RESTORE THIS VERSION button in the top-right of the screen.
- To restore to this particular story version, select the RESTORE THIS VERSION button. A confirmation popup displays.
- Select ROLLBACK to confirm the action. The story returns to its previous published version and status (there's no need to select Publish again).
