What is a reporter?
The reporter is a property of Live Blog posts. It allows to
- Qualify a post as home or away for matches with two teams (e.g., a football match)
- Publish as the post's author a name other than the editor who writes the post (e.g., in case of ghostwriting)
Where to find the reporters section
Let’s add a new reporter! First click the three lines at the top of the left menu. Then select the Reporters Management option.
Creating a new reporter
Upon opening the Reporters Management section, the Reporter list displays. Select the CREATE REPORTER button to create a new reporter template.
To create a new reporter, administrators need to update the following areas:
- Add a reporter name. This step is mandatory.
- Add an avatar image. This step is optional.
- Update the role and short biography sections. This step is optional.
- Toggle the status on to make the reporter available as posts property.
- Add the reporter's email and social media accounts. This step is optional.
- Add different colors to a reporter's name depending on whether they're home, away or neutral. This step is optional.
After completing these details, select SAVE. Your new reporter is saved and appears in the Reporters Management section.
Manage which reporters can feature in blog posts by using the toggle icons in the Status tab. Double-check which colors are applied to each reporter in the Colors tab. And, edit a reporter's details by double-clicking on a reporter profile.
