In this article, we cover the FORGE app that stores the media files that are part of the presentation, like logos and banners.
Topics covered here:
Overview
FORGE Graphic Assets Dashboard is the file manager where graphic assets including images and videos are uploaded to display on the front-end.
Note: Graphic assets stored in the FORGE Graphic Asset Dashboard — like logos and banners — are promotional and commercial content. Instead, FORGE manages graphic assets — like photos and videos — that are editorial content in FORGE Back Office.
Warning: When uploading assets exceeding 5 Mb size, verify with administrators whether to increase the pod memory limit to a minimum of 500Mi in the Kubernetes configuration.
Graphic assets and photo entities
Graphic assets and photo entities manage images in different contexts of FORGE:
- Images are added to photo entities as editorial entities that are identified by their slug. They are managed in Content Manager.
- Images are added as graphic assets when
- Are part of custom entities. E.g.: logos and banner within custom entities
- Used as static assets in Page Builder.
File manager and tags
FORGE Graphic Assets Dashboard allows you to organize images and videos in folders.

Note: The set of tags available for content (stories, photos, etc) are not available in the Graphic Asset Dashboard for images and photos. And vice versa. In the example below, the tag Alpha is not available for entities photos:
